The Liner
Each ski boot is sold with a pre-fit liner. Some are better than others, some are heat mouldable and some are just plain bad. With each companies customisation process the liner is heated for a short period of time and the client walks around in it. Is it beneficial? Potentially. Is it custom? Not in the least.
If you really want your boot to be as precise and comfortable as possible and also have a much longer ski life you may want to investigate the possibility of a foam injected liner.
A Foam Injected liner makes the ski boot perfect for your foot provided the shell and footbed are functioning properly as well. The liner comes empty and foam is injected into it while the skier stands in the boot. As the foam hardens, every single gap in the boot is perfectly filled meaning the slightest movement in your foot is immediately transferred to the ski. Never before will you have been so in control.
