Choosing the Shell
The most important part of the process is chosing the right shell to meet a skiers individual needs with regards to size and shape of the foot and performance level.

"... I never thought I had too many problems with my boots until Kai and Johnny sorted me out. Footbeds, Liners and heaters in a new sized shell. The difference was like going from a tractor to an F1 car..."

Michael Devor, Professional Telemark Skier (Perfect Moment, Crispi, Oakley)

The correct fitting ski boot should be as close to the foot as possible, holding and supporting the foot in the shell and also allowing the skier to assume the correct ski position. Have you ever been told by an instructor to get your knees forward and not been able to do it?

It wasn't your skiing, its your boot.

Unfortunately on the ski market every boot has a different shape and width. An old wives tale is that certain manufacturers are narrower or wider than others. Not so. Generally a manufacturer will have a range of different shapes and widths in their line up.

As each foot is so different often people will have abnormalities such as bone spurs or bunions. This is easily fixed. With the quality of plastic in our ski boots, it is exceptionally easy to heat the shell up and deform it to follow the contours of your foot. This process known as punching a boot can be taken extremely far. Remember you must chose a shell that fits the foot, not the abnormalities. That's our job.
